Unique Save The Sayings

"REVOLUTION Golem

Very good to all!

This summer, I had time to put some day, the endless list of books that you want to read, but never have time.

I could read a biography, a novel, some self-help, and some on economics and politics ... but if there is one, which really impressed me left that if I had to qualify with a word, this would be "brutal ", was this:

" Ecological Intelligence "
, written by Daniel Goleman.

Goleman, he wrote many years of a groundbreaking book on interpersonal relationships entitled "Emotional Intelligence" which many have heard about, and even today, is a global standard.
I recommend that you read, " the future of companies engaged in producing something happens here, sounds utopian, and today it is, within 15 years there will be."

I leave a video which does an interview Eduardo Punset talking about the book and the concept of "Ecological Intelligence"

Those who remain interested after seeing the video, herein also conducted an interview recently:

What led him to plunge into the ecology?

The sensitivity to hear and understand the messages we are sending our home planet Earth. As much as it paved with social and economic systems, the living entity is still there, giving us what we need to survive and enjoy this wonderful experience of learning and evolution that we call "life." After many centuries to ignore, manipulate and even raping the environment, it seems be calling on business and society that we take into account whenever we make decisions about production and consumption.

You state that "changes usually occur when there is no other choice"

And in this case, more than ever, because our perception as human beings is not designed to process the destruction of the planet, making it difficult to mobilize for change. In general, we still do not know the true ecological impact of the products we consume. Because of this ignorance and unconsciousness of not wanting to learn, most of us are victims and perpetrators of the gradual degradation of the environment. Here there guilty. Only responsible. Just let us look in the mirror. The solution is to develop our ecological understanding.

What is?
ecological intelligence is the ability to go about trying to damage as little as possible to nature. Is to understand what the consequences on the environment the decisions we make in our day to day and try as far as possible, choosing the most beneficial to the health of the planet. The paradox is that the more consistent with their welfare are more invested in ours.

What do you mean?
If you look, what society considers normal is far from natural. Simply enter a supermarket to check. Our food is not from the garden, but the laboratory. And though it costs us admit, are not children of the technology, but of nature. Thus, developing our ecological intelligence is not to make decisions that allow us to reconnect with who we really are, which improves our physical and emotional health.

You mean the conscious consumer?
Exactly. Where we put our money, we put our energy. And it creates the world. If nobody buys a product or service disappears from the market. The consumer awareness of personal responsibility (I buy what I need and not what makes me want advertising) and ecological consciousness (if I find out about what I buy is made respecting the environment).

What about companies that produce and sell?
The more you wake up this awareness in society, the faster will change and evolve to adapt and survive economically. The revolution is in the hands of consumers. Hence, the best we can do is support ecological consumption across the range of products and services offered today. The corporations do not care until they do consumers. He also says

that the road will rise to the "radical transparency"
is the bridge that will allow us to evolve into conscious consumption. When the company knows what ecological impact of each item you eat, start to consume by value, leaving it in bursts. Thus, radical transparency we will warn the consequences of the things we make, sell, buy and discard, a knowledge that goes far beyond the usual comfort zone which is leveraged the vast majority of companies.

So the future looks green ...

No doubt! Environmental disclosure opens up a horizon economic hitherto unpublished which involves implanting a regulation to provide transparency to the market and allows us to know the hidden impact of our purchases. Thus, consumers will have a detailed information on the impact of our decisions, very similar to that used by market analysts to weigh the benefits and losses of companies. In a maximum of 20 years, companies that are committed to sustainability will be rewarded while those who resist the change will tend to disappear.

I recommend is an easy read, are so far from approaching what Goleman says in his book, which I think rather than utopian but there are U.S. companies that are applying this concept, is that companies engaged in manufacturing any product in the future will have to bear in mind that all the factors that made in its manufacturing process, damage and impact it less likely the planet.

"Consumers have the power, but it takes what we believe",

Greetings to all and thanks for entering again in this place
