IF YOU HAVE A REASON, YOU WILL FIND A
all!
I would discuss a book I read a few weeks ago, and on many occasions I had recommended. At the end of the post, I'll do a comparison, that saving from far distances, I think we bear a certain relation.
Many already know this book, the title of the "Man's Search for Meaning." The author is Victor Frankl. The book, which is a test in itself, tells the personal experience of Victor Frankl, a doctor and psychologist, held in a concentration camp during the Nazi era.
commenter also, that the phenomenal film "Life is Beautiful" , comes from this book.
certainly is a hard story, since it has savage atrocities and suffered there, the few time later, could tell. However, I recommend reading it, I think it's worth.
Victor Frankl discovered in the camp really important, and was " those people who got up without hope, they died in less than two weeks ." And those people who had a mentally handicapped child or his mother was sick, or someone on the fight for living, not dying .
and did not die because they simply "could not ." Victor Frankl found that "any person who has to live for, is always how. And anyone who does not have a living because it is impossible to find a how."
"There was no time for moral or ethical considerations, nor the desire to do them. One thought was that he encouraged the prisoners stay alive to return to the family that was waiting at home and save his friends , therefore, did not hesitate a moment to fix things so that another prisoner, another "number", take his place on the expedition. "
The book tells of many psychological issues and, little by little, they're undermining the morale of the prisoners, even losing the desire to continue living and dying. Losing dignity, and respect for oneself, apathy ultimately losing the sense of being human.
not the strongest survived, "those who survived had a reason to live," someone who would fight to the end of their strength, to return to see them again. They had a reason and found a how.
As I read this book a few weeks ago, the comparison came to my head with the feat last week, won the Chilean miners. Many days passed before they knew if they would be rescued or not, and that they had some news that they knew if they were alive or not. I think that uncertainty that collapses to anyone. Many of them lost these days certainly the hope of being rescued.
certainly believe that despite the media hype that surrounded it all, and the picture on the scene that a president noted, the example for wanting to live these people and their union, despite all the problems has been admirable, and as a life history, and human improvement, I believe we should promote it, unlike the daily misfortunes with which we invade the news and newspapers, telling deaths than me and I do not want to hear.
This group of miners had a reason to live, and found the how to for 70 long days.
"Did you know that 97 percent of people who get up in the morning in the western world does not know he lives?". Things to think about ....
"Anyone who has to live for, will always find a how."
